Sensorgestützte intelligente Umgebungen

This Practical Course will be held by the researchers in the Cognitive Perception project of the CoTeSys (Cognition for Technical Systems) Excellence Cluster. We will discuss object recognition, reconstruction, classification and grasping using mobile robotic platforms, like the ones at our Intelligent Autonomous Systems group (http://ias.cs.tum.edu). The robots are functional and the different modules are integrated using the world's leading open-source middle-ware called Robot Operating System (http://www.ros.org). The students will use and experiment with the TUM Personal Robotics packages (http://sourceforge.net/projects/tum-ros-pkg/) and stacks related to the Point Cloud Library (http://www.pointclouds.org).
